Tibetan Buddhist Center 3536 McLaughlin Ave., Los Angeles 90066

Chokhor Gepel Ling is a Tibetan Buddhist Center founded by Thupten Rinpoche following the inspiration and guidance of His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama.

Our mission is to provide an environment for contact with Tibetan Buddhism
and to promote awareness about Tibetan and Himalayan culture.

Join us every Sunday at 10:30AM with Tibetan Buddhist monk, Kusho Wangdu for chanting in Tibetan and English, and dharma talks about integrating Tibetan Buddhist concepts into our daily lives.  Wangdu is an engaging speaker who is fluent in English and makes the Buddha’s teachings come alive in accessible and thought-provoking ways. All are welcome.

On June 3, 2019 Thupten Rinpoche will begin a 1008 Nyung Na retreat at our Center which will last approximately 5 1/2 years.  Nyung Na is a rigorous practice associated with the deity Chenrezig (Buddha of Compassion). It involves chanting, prayer, prostrations and complete fasting every other day.
